Why everyone keeps coming back.

Welcome to Clove Cafe, a charming gem nestled in the heart of Newstead, Tasmania. This delightful cafe at 1 Amy Rd is not just a place to grab a cup of coffee; it’s an experience that invites you to savor the moment in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

As you step inside, the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the sight of beautifully presented dishes greet you like an old friend. Clove Cafe prides itself on serving exactly what you desire—whether it’s a quick bite or a leisurely brunch with friends, this cafe has perfected the art of comfort food.

The breakfast menu is a treasure trove of flavors. Imagine starting your day with the Smashed Avocado on Sourdough, which is as vibrant as it is delicious, or perhaps indulging in the Egg & Bacon Sourdough Toastie for a hearty option that satisfies both taste buds and hunger pangs. Their House Made Toasted Banana Bread, a delightful creation at just A$7.00, is perfect for those sweet-toothed moments. For a savory treat, the Smoked Salmon Croissant will elevate your breakfast experience to new heights—each bite melts in your mouth. Prices are friendly to your wallet, making it an ideal spot for all.

Of course, any visit to Clove Cafe isn’t complete without savoring their expertly crafted coffee. Whether you indulge in a classic Cappuccino or treat yourself to a Matcha, you’ll find the coffee to be nothing short of divine. As one customer, Jess S, shares, “Great coffee and food is incredibly fresh, well presented and, in my opinion, just as good if not better than the overpriced alternatives down the road.”

Not only is the food spectacular, but the atmosphere is absolutely alive. Clove Cafe buzzes with friendly chatter and laughter, creating an environment that feels like home away from home. This strong sense of community is echoed in Palak Gathania’s review, expressing how the team is “warm and welcoming” and how the food is “fresh and yummy.”

However, do keep in mind that this hidden gem does draw quite a crowd. As noted by Hansika Mahadev, the cafe can be bustling during peak hours, but the staff remains adept at managing the flow, ensuring you’re never left waiting too long for that precious caffeine fix.

In addition to the mouthwatering menu, Clove Cafe also offers a selection of lovely gifts, perfect for a thoughtful present or a little treat for yourself. Narelle Lippis emphasizes this, remarking on the “lovely gifts for sale” alongside the delicious food.

For those who appreciate a cozy cafe filled with exquisite flavors and friendly service, Clove Cafe is not to be missed. Stop by, enjoy the ambiance, and see why locals and visitors alike keep raving about this enchanting spot!

Love this place! Customer service is highly commendable! Their coffee, croissant, soup, everything that we ordered was amazing. Food was fresh and yummy, coffee was perfection and croissants are now my all time favourite. Very warm and welcoming team members.

Mostly packed during the times that I'd been there, but staff were able to keep up adequately. The croissant was dry, but the coffee was fine. The seating is clearly insufficient for the usual crowd.

Treat yourself to this beautiful local cafe. From Sandy’s Sourdough Almond Croissants to the most delicious patisseries around. All paired up with a skilled barista cappuccino on Almond milk. One of my favourite places nearby. Very recommended.

Great service, very creamy chai latte and an amazing chocolate melting moment. Very impressed with the efficient way they dealt with the sudden influx of students from the nearby school. One of the few places still open after 3pm.
